I am Lawrence Koh Choon Teck. I am the author and illustrator of the book, Growing Up with Lee Kuan Yew (GUWLKY).

I came from a disadvantaged family background and nearly ended up on the other side of the law when I was young. My mother's love for me made me resolve to turn into a new leaf. As you may not have known, I failed my 'O' levels twice. However, along the way, many people from all walks of life helped me, including recognizing my strength in art as well as supporting and encouraging me to pursue my Master of Fine Art in Animation and publish my book GUWLKY.

Without their support, I won't be who I am now. I am working with Josef Lee of Mojo Studio, PowerQ Consulting and Li Fong on a short SG50 animation film funded by SG50 Celebration Fund. I am a full time lecturer teaching 3D Interactive Media Technology at Temasek Polytechnic and recently my book "Growing Up with Lee Kuan Yew (second edition)" had received the first prize in Popular Reader’s Choice Competition.
